Do you find yourself struggling to lose excess body fat for many years? You probably tried several diets to lose body fat, but nothing seem to work. You may lose some body fat but tend to gain it back plus more, and you just don't know what to do.
According to research there is a strong connection between imbalance gut bacteria and the struggle to lose body fat. You may sometimes ask your self, why am I not losing body fat ? even though you eat clean and exercise on a regular basis but the truth is sometimes the weight challenges have nothing to do with your dietary habits. Research has demonstrated that an imbalance between the two major bacterial group in the gut is strongly related to obesity and weight struggles.
There is a strong relationship between your gut bacteria and your body weight. The relationship is observed in the balance between the Firmicutes and the Bacteroidetes bacterial strains that are in your gut. When the ratio of Firmicutes are higher than Bacteroidetes the greater your risk to become obese.
The Firmicutes tend to extract more calories from foods during digestion than the Bacteroidetes as a result you store more body fat which lead weight gain. However all is not lost, you can achieve a healthy balance of these bacterial strains through foods, prebiotics, probiotics and other lifestyle modifications.
